WHAT IS ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. ABA refers to a set of principles that focus on how behaviors work, or are affected by the environment, as well as how learning takes place. The term behavior refers to skills and actions needed to talk, play, and live.
ABA therapy applies our understanding of how behavior works to real situations and its relationship with the environment. The goal is to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease maladaptive behaviors that can cause harmful or affect learning.

SERVICES

We take care of insurance and benefits verification for your family, allowing you to concentrate on your child's development and education. The process starts with an initial consultation where we discuss your unique requirements and review your insurance details. We then inform you about available resources for you and your child, provide updates on your insurance coverage, and outline any potential additional expenses.

Insurance Check

A BCBA will conduct an initial in-depth behavioral assessment to identify the factors influencing your child’s actions and responses. Using the results, the BCBA will collaborate with an assigned ABA Therapist to design a personalized treatment plan. This plan will feature evidence-based ABA methods, strategies, and clearly defined short-term and long-term objectives. Regular evaluations will monitor progress over time. To ensure the best outcomes for your child, we observe their performance directly and collect input from teachers, therapists, and caregivers to assess the effectiveness of the treatment and make any needed adjustments to the care plan.

Assessments

Autism is as unique as the individuals who experience it, and your child’s needs will differ from those of others. Individualized therapy ensures that your child’s specific requirements are directly addressed. By collaborating with therapists, you can develop a personalized plan tailored to your child’s unique path and goals. This focused approach allows your child to thrive by receiving dedicated support, rather than feeling overlooked in a group setting.

One-to-one Therapy

Parental involvement and support are essential to a child’s success. To ensure ABA Therapy services are comprehensive, we place a strong focus on educating and training family members and caregivers. We provide guidance on effectively managing any challenges they may encounter. Consistency in applying our methods across all aspects of your child’s care greatly enhances their effectiveness. To support this, we offer dedicated educational sessions for parents and invite them, along with other caregivers, to participate in ABA therapy sessions. This allows us to provide valuable guidance and training for addressing challenges that may arise when we are not present.

ABA Parent Training

Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) are commonly used in various treatment settings, but they are especially effective for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. A BIP outlines specific steps for teachers and other school staff to follow in order to address behaviors considered disruptive or inappropriate. These behaviors may include withdrawal or lack of responsiveness, classroom disruptions, aggression, refusal to complete assignments, or the use of inappropriate language.
